The Quad (short for quadrangle) is the home of the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University. Back when Texas A&M University was first created, the university was a male, military only university. In the 60's the university changed and women were allowed to attend Texas A&M and the school no longer was a military school; however, the Corps of Cadets still stayed apart of the university. From wearing uniform everyday while on campus to attending every football game to doing formation and physical training on campus in the morning, the Corps of Cadets are very much a part of student life on campus.
